Our EDC Furoshiki is unique in the world due to Japan technological innovation in woven fabrics using a special unique processing technology called dewelry®, which makes the fabric "super water repellent" with a best-in-industry durability of >100 washes, yet retains its breathability.

It is this water repellency ability which allows the EDC Furoshiki to actually hold water......and to obtain a Guinness world record for the fastest time for 100 people to move 100 liters of water a distance of 100 meters with a furoshiki! See the actual event below! |

The event, which involved more than 60 students from a local high school, as well as around 40 other participants ranging from 10 to 73 years old, consisted of a relay in which furoshiki cloths (made of high tech "super water repellent" fabric) containing water were passed from one person to the next and poured into a large tank until reaching 100 liters. The record time for transferring 100 liters was booked at 5 minutes, 57 seconds!
